Glidevale Protect FrameSafe FR Class A2 external flame retardant breather membrane

Protect FrameSafe FR is a high performance, Class A2 flame retardant wall breather membrane, designed for use on the external side of the frame to integrate with closed jointed façade wall structures on low, medium and high rise buildings. Protect FrameSafe FR exceeds Building Regulations Approved Document B for fire safety for structures over 11m in height, with suitability for higher risk  buildings as defined in the Building Safety Act. This ensures peace of mind and assurance in specification, being future proofed against future regulation changes.

• Designed for use on low and medium rise structures over 11m as well as tall building applications over 18m where full rainscreen cladding systems are installed.

• Fully compliant with EN 13501-1 and exceeds requirements in UK Building Regulations Approved Document B & Buliding Regulations Technical Guidance Document B in Ireland.

• Fire tested by third party laboratory as a system with Protect FR tape, Protect FrameSafe FR achieves
  Class A2-s1, d0 reaction to fire, ensuring integrity of product specification across all building heights.

• Improves the fire performance of the overall wall structure.

• Strong UV stability – exposure up to six months to suit high rise developments.

• High water vapour permeability to help avoid condensation risk.

• Tested by external laboratory both free hanging and as part of a system in an end use application with Protect FrameSafe FR mechanically fixed over A1 & A2 substrates with a minimum density of 37.5kg/m3. All laps perimeter sealed with Protect FR tape.
